What are the requirements to join the org?

You must have access to Star Citizen, be 18+ (exceptions on a case-by-case basis), fill out an application on our website, and join our discord for an introduction/interview into the unit. These interviews and applications are simply a means to get to know you and identify where you best see yourself as a member of the organization.

do i have to remain exclusive to the unit? I cant play with others?

Here at the 12 Carrier Battle Group we hold a degree of exclusiveness based on the nature of our operations in game. At the same time, you are free to play with your friends in the verse but remember that you carry the Navy's name with you and any form of piracy or misconduct are grounds for immediate dismissal from the 12th.

do i have to provide my own equipment?

No, our N4 will provide you with whatever is required of you for the operation and or mission. A new equipment loadout will not continually be given to you if you still have the kit available.  

What time zone is the org most active in?

This org is active primarily in US time zones; however, we also have many members from Europe and around the world active in most time zones.

What rank do I have to be in order to command a vessel?

In order to command a ship in our unit you will have to be the rank of LCDR (O-4) and Major (O-4) and up for Marines. You also must pass a class in the Naval Commander's Course specific to ship command.

I see that you have Navy Seals but no requirements what are they?

Navy Seals have a rank requirement of E-5 and above but their standard requirements are classified. They will come to you if they deem you worthy to hold the trident. 

I dont like the roleplay aspect do i have to participate in it?

In your interview and application, you saw that we are a roleplay unit. We participate in a certain degree of roleplay. If it is not for you then this unit is probably not in your best interest.

can i make events for the unit?

Yes, you very well can. A member that makes events for the unit shows that he cares for the unit and will in turn give him/her promotion points for their next rank.

How active do I need to be to participate?

We ask for participation in at least two events per month, however, if you communicate an absence longer than a month we always accomodate for real-life first. We recognize in the current state of Star Citizen it may not be your primary game, but want to encourage your engagement with the unit.

What is a Milsim-lite org?

Milsim-lite is used to describe the type of roleplay style this org follows. We use similar organization structures and training from real-world military experience and tailor it to Star Citizen gameplay, roleplaying as the lawful UEE military in game.

How RP heavy is the org?

While this org roleplays as a military unit of the UEE, we take a blended approach to immersion and real-life needs. We utilize a military rank structure to organize our unit and build events tailored to accomplishing military objectives, but real-life always comes first.

If I join a unit, am I stuck there or can I transfer even after joining?

Members can always transfer to a different unit to better suit their preferred gameplay. Some special units like the Seals are special cases and are by invite-only.

How do I promote within the org?

Your first promotion is awarded automatically after completion of basic training, and subsequent promotions are awarded after participation, skill, and contribution to the unit.

Is this a PvP org?

This org participates in both PvE and PvP with a focus on assisting fellow citizens out in the verse, be that through humanitarian aid, anti-piracy operations, or expeditionary assaults deep into vanduul territory.
